Was mich inspiriert? Es ist das Zusammenspiel aus inneren Stimmungen, handwerklichem Können und den Eindrücken meiner Umgebung. Der Arbeitsprozess in meinem Atelier ist ein dynamischer Dialog zwischen Intuition und Kontrolle. Ich beginne oft mit zufälligen Zeichnungen und Farbflächen, die sich im Laufe der Zeit zu expressiven Kunstwerkenentwickeln. Die Nähe zur Nordsee mit ihrem wechselnden Licht, den weiten Horizonten und der kraftvollen Natur beeinflusst meine Farbpalette und die Dynamik meiner abstrakten Malerei.

Ständige Begleiterin auf all meinen Wegen ist meine Hündin Gretchen.

Before you explore my abstract paintings, I invite you to take a glimpse into my studio, my house, and my garden here in Sankt Michaelisdonn, my home on the North Sea coast. 

What inspires me? It's the interplay of inner moods, craftsmanship, and the impressions of my surroundings. The working process in my studio is a dynamic dialogue between intuition and control. I often begin with random drawings and areas of color, which evolve over time into expressive artworks. The proximity to the North Sea, with its changing light, vast horizons, and powerful nature, influences my color palette and the dynamics of my abstract painting.

My constant companion on all my paths is my dog Gretchen.
